Blogging is the basic requirement for any inbound marketing strategy. Blog articles are shared on social media everyday and a regularly updated blog with the right content will fare well in search engine results. But blog articles work best, only when they educate and don’t promote your services.
This begs the question, How do I convert my traffic into leads?
Below you have 6 Ways to convert your blog traffic into clients:-
1. Use White Papers or Ebooks: –
In your blog posts you can have links that lead to white papers, created by your company, to market your products and services. White papers, unlike regular content, are both educative and persuasive, as they are a cross between a magazine article and a brochure, which makes them great lead generators.
You will not be directly marketing your services as the aim of white papers to educate, but after the process of educating, they automatically persuade. For more information on how to write white papers read my free white paper on how to write white papers.
A great e.g. of a company doing well with white papers and other guides is hubspot.
2. Use Newsletters: –
Get your blog visitors to sign up to newsletters. After they sign up to your newsletters, you can send them information about your latest blog posts, your latest white papers, latest news and offers and use them to market your services to your clients. This way of keeping in touch with your readers will directly remind them of you, when they require a solution. You could also provide a free gift in the form of a video or a white paper or an ebook, so that you can encourage users to sign up. A great newsletter software you could use is Aweber.
3. Use Popovers: –
You could use popovers to encourage website visitors to sign up to your newsletters or white papers; as research shows that popovers can increase sign ups by 300%. You could get this feature, from email marketing software like Aweber.
4. Provide links at the end of blog posts:-
You could provide links at the end of blog posts, which lead to the sales page of that product or service which is related to that blog post. The blog post can be all about education, but you can let the reader know that you have got a solution which does the same job right away. Use a proper call to action, which convinces them to visit the link and take a look at the product or service.
5. Create Ads:-
Create Ads on your website, which could be placed on a side bar or on your website banner. These ads can be about your latest offers or products which can help your readers. A great e.g. of this is Social Media Examiner, who advertise their Small Biz Success Summit as ads on their blog sidebar.
6. Webinars: –
From time to time you can organize webinars. You will need to make sure that the webinars you organize are all about educating. You could use your own experts or you can invite speakers from outside. You can let them know about your product or service at the end of the webinar, after you educate them. A webinar can be a powerful and effective way to generate quality leads. Make sure you promote your webinar on your blog and through your newsletters.
So make sure you use all or at least some of the above tips, in your blogging methods and you should be able to convert all that hard earned blog traffic into leads.
