Great post Mitt. Thanks for creating this infographic! I use Tailwind’s analytic tools to help me track my Pinterest traffic is highest. In addition I personally track them myself. I always monitor “Notifications” because it’s a live stream and I can see how pinners are engaging with my content. Bottom line: I pin when my target audience is on Pinterest. Happy 2014 Mitt!

      Thank you Anna! You’re welcome.

Tailwind is really good. Another one I really like is GoPixel.

Thank you. Happy 2014 to you too.

    Great infographic, Mitt :)

I am following an once a week publishing schedule with my new blog (publishing on every Wednesday…that seems to work well with the social media sites :D).

I don’t maintain a FB page, not anymore (so, the FB one doesn’t really matter). Recently, I have been using my personal FB account for blogging – well, not for promoting stuff, but for networking with other bloggers.

G+ is one of the social media sites I am really concentrating on (trying to publish 2 updates everyday..one in the morning and one in the evening).

Anyways, thank you for sharing this :) It will help 😀

I’m not sure I agree on Facebook with Saturday and Sunday being the worst days – I used to get more from my pages on those days and personal account as more people have time on the weekend to be there. I totally agree on Pinterest – have seen that pop on Saturdays!

Hi Mitt, I’ve shared your infographic over at SocialTimes, can you tell me what time zone these suggestions are based on? Some of the readers are asking. I noticed you are in Europe, like me :)

I couldn’t disagree more with this. Wednesdays for FB? That is the worst day to post. I won’t even get into why that is. Ultimately everyone should be reading your analytics and it will tell you when the best time to post is. I bet most will see that for FB, anytime from 7pm-10pm is the best posting time.
Someone didn’t do their homework on this one…

Not sure if yours are true, but a good point is read your analytics and testing out the best time, rather than just copy/pasting someone else’s efforts.

Understanding why something functions as it functions is the way of learning.

Hey Mitt Ray, Great info-graphic, That is, time in the sense of how much actual weeks, days, hours and minutes you invest in platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Timing is much an art as it is a science, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to this strategy.

Good Information Mitt, While most of these studies conflict with one another, they also consistently conflict with my own analysis. 80%of 18-44 year olds check their smartphone as soon as they wake up. It’s likely that your fans are reaching for their phones and scanning their news feed as they start their day

The best way to update with social media preference when you do this then you have already have quality to improving your social networks with other people. I agree to says” That you maintain your list of activity for months but you also maintain the social activity with every day.

I think the best feature of Facebook is ‘Page Insights’ that tells you everything about the best timing of posting your update. So according to the audience time of being online one should post their updates.
